BLOCK

Parade (pah-RUD): Definition to come

Parade Bloqué (pah-RUD blo-KEY): A defensive move used to protect one's side from a fouétté median; it involves bringing the arm tightly against the side being kicked so that the elbow is supported by the ribs. The head tilts towards the side being protected so as to add further support to the blocking arm.

Parade en Opposition (pah-RUD on oh-poh-zee-SHYON): A defensive move used to protect one's head from a fouétté figure; it involves bringing one's glove up to protect one's temple on the side being kicked, and placing the other glove at the defending arm's elbow in order to catch the kick.
